• Nate Robertson endured two major arm surgeries to become one of the best left handed starters in the AL. Steve Canter understood Nate’s risk of future injury, and negotiated a guaranteed deal worth $21.5 million before injuries ended Nate’s career.

• Doug Davis was a super-talented left-handed pitcher in his final year of salary arbitration. Steve successfully leveraged Doug’s performance into a 3 year 22 million guaranteed contract. Doug Davis earned in excess of 35 million dollars during his 10 year major league career.

• Grant Holmes got the highest signing bonus above the slot in the first round, because Steve understood Grant’s amazing talent and value and helped maximize it.

• Daniel Descalso played 10 years in the majors, and earned a great raise in his first arbitration case, because of his incredible contributions to winning a 2011 world championship. Steve Canter successfully negotiated that contract by thoroughly researching the comps, and advancing the winning argument.  Steve also negotiated all of Daniel’s free agent contracts, including 3 multi-year contracts. Daniel earned in excess of 15 million dollars.

• Steve Canter successfully negotiated the highly talented Marcus Semien’s first salary arbitration case in 2018, artfully using comps to get him a fantastic raise despite Marcus spending half of his platform season on the IL.

• Charlie Barnes was blocked from an opportunity in MLB, so partnering with Charlie, Steve negotiated a series of contracts in Asia that earned Charlie 4.5 million dollars!

• Bryce Teodosio was a talented non drafted free agent. Steve Canter personally called 30 clubs and got Bryce a job and Bryce has gone on to have a successful major league career.

• Jim “The Rookie” Morris was a 35 year old baseball player with no financial future in baseball. Steve took Jim’s inspirational story and transformed it into the legendary blockbuster Walt Disney film, “The Rookie,” the 4th highest grossing baseball film ever. “The Rookie” is a 150 million dollar property,  and is featured in a section of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Steve also set up Jim Morris’ wildly successful public speaking career.

• Lou Trivino is a successful major league pitcher with 8 plus years in the majors, and is also a world champion. Steve Canter masterfully negotiated 3 salary arbitration cases for Lou, as well as his free agent contracts. Steve Canter has negotiated contracts in excess of 15 million dollars for Lou.

• Bryse Wilson is a talented major league pitcher with 5 plus years of major league service, and is also a world champion.  Steve Canter negotiated his original signing bonus of $1,200,000, well above the slot of $548,000. Steve also masterfully negotiated his salary arbitration cases and his free agent contracts. Bryse has earned in excess of 7 million dollars.

• Asa Lacy was drafted  in the first round, and 4th overall in the 2020 MLB Draft.  Steve Canter negotiated his bonus and Asa received an over the slot bonus of $6,700,000.

• Dylan Floro was a World Champion with the Dodgers, and he played more than 7 years in the majors. Steve masterfully negotiated large raises in 3 arbitration cases for Dylan, and also negotiated his 2024 free agent contract with the Nationals. Dylan’s lifetime career earnings exceed 15 million dollars.

• JP Sears is a highly talented pitcher with the San Diego Padres.

  Using the salary arbitration process, Steve Canter masterfully negotiated JP’s  guaranteed 2026 contract for $2,750,000.
